Friday Mashup #33

Today we have a color challenge from our friends at Friday Mashup. Something with So Saffron, Cherry Cobbler, and Early Espresso. Don't you think it's a nice combo? They are all very creative over there.

I had a good time making this card. I was looking through my craft supplies for some things to donate and I ran across a package of 5X5 fabric squares. I put one of the squares through the 2 scallops die, stitched and gathered around the center of each scallop and put one of the SU! ribbon roses in the center. I added some dew with crystal affects on the leaves and the flower petals, then added a few pearls. I have since removed the dew drops from the leaf, but I had already uploaded the pic with them on the card. Hope you enjoy.

This was a fun card to make. I added crystal affects to the wings of the bees to make them stand out a bit. I like the bees on this DSP...just wishes there were a couple more pages of this pattern in the pack. Enjoy.

SUO 13 post 2

I made two cards for this challenge and couldn't decide which one I liked best so I am posting both of them. I haven't used much of the peach parfait until now, but I like it and will be selecting it more often in the future.

I tried to post both cards and it would accept two...so I decided to enter this card in the challenge.

SUO 13

My entry for the SUO challenge uses the Bliss set from SAB. I like the versatility of this set. The DSP is also from the SAB catalog. It makes me think of a bee hive, so I snuck in the bee from the Nature Walk set in the mini. TFL.

Friday Mashup #32

Cupcakes with flowers and butterflies...speaks to me of Spring...which leads me to think of Spring flowers and my Bahma who loved cheery blossoms...which led me to the Easter Blossoms stamp set...which led to this card. Oh don't try to figure out the way the connections were made, but I can tell you that my mind is full of wonderful memories of Spring, my Bahma, and the wonderful and full life I have lived. I am truly blessed. Hope you enjoy this card.

Fun Flowers die

I am so ready for Spring and decided to bring some flowers into my craft area using the Fun Flowers die. There are so many options with this die and the wonderful papers Stampin' Up! offers. This die also goes well with the Build A Blossom stamp set and Blossom Petals punch. You can create an entire garden of flowers to add to cards and scrapbook pages.

I am on a roll with circles and rounded corners. I have also been looking at my embellishments and working to incorporate more of them on my cards and scrapbook pages. Hope you enjoy todays cards.

A Slice of Life

I like this hostess set and all the things you can create with it. I like to color and this set helps feed that enjoyment. I have used watercolor pencils, our crayons, ink pads, and chalks all with success. I am listening to an audio book of Atlas Shrugged while I am making cards these days and it lends itself to coloring and putting bling on my cards. Hope you enjoy.

Morning Cup

This Morning Cup set is such fun and the wisdom it expresses so true. I used some crystal affects on the coffee pot. I used the "splotchy" stamp from french foliage for the "coffee stains".

I have to add a PS to this post...after I hit the publish post button, a google ad came up for coffee stain removal. A bit creepy.

Sweet Summer

This is such a fun set to stamp with and it brought a bit of Spring to my stamp area while I was making the cards.

Sympathy Cards

I have been making cards for the staff at my church to send out. I have recently had requests for sympathy cards. Here are a couple I will be delivering later this week.

Workshop Valentines

Here are the cards I presented at a resent workshop. The ladies got to choose which card stock they preferred. I will be sad when Valentines Day has passed because I have enjoyed making lots of love cards this year. It has been a fun season.

Baby Blossom

I have come to enjoy this stamp set. I got it originally for the frame and I have come to like the other elements as well.

Fine Flourish

I have been enjoying the relaxation of coloring these last couple of days. I have been listening to a book on tape as I colored and I have enjoyed the many options this stamp, Fine Flourish, offers. I used SU! colored pencils for this card and like how it turned out. Hope you enjoy.
