Ribbon and Stamps What Fun

Since Spring is just around the corner, yes I am looking forward to it, I thought I would pull out some of my older stamps and play a bit. We have actually had sunshine the last few days and I tried to capture some of it with my cards.

This one looks better inperson because it is so light in color.

Fun Layers

I have been playing with some layers this week. I am enjoying the vintage stamps with words and designs across the stamp. Hope you enjoy.

Here are a couple of cards using the designer paper from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. I've spent the weekend making cards and watching the Olympics, a great combination in my opinion. So, I will be sharing more with you this week.

Cards for the Troops

One of the gals in our group sends cards to the troops, so I have started making cards for her to include in her next shipment. The inside of the cards are blank so the soldiers have space to write. I enjoy making cards and am pleased that I can share them with folks who will enjoy and use them. Hope you enjoy looking at them.

More Easel Cards

Here are some more of my easel cards. I am so enjoying making them and hope you enjoy seeing them. Hope you have a blessed day...Michelle

The bottom of these two cards is made with a jumbo wheel stamp that I took off the wheel and put on an acrylic block to stamp. Since the stamp doesn't have a cushion on it, I adhere the stamp on the block with a little snail.

This card is embellished with Sweat Pea Felt and a corduroy button. The background is enhanced with shimmer paint and alchohol from a mini mister. I loaded the mini mister about 2/3 full with an alchohol hand sanitizer and then added about six or seven drops of champagne shimmer paint. Just shake it up until blended and mist away.

I wanted a "guy" card that could be used for Valentine's Day or any other occasion I wanted to say I Love You. This combination did the trick: Dusty Durango, Bermuda Bay, and Chocolate Chip. Enjoy.

Two cards from our last club meeting.

Kim did a great job of coming up with projects for our club this month. She wanted to do an easel card but wasn't sure of the measurements, so she created her own. It was fun to make and I think it is cute.

This is another card we made using the DSP from the new mini catalog and two of the new punches.

My next demo meeting swap

Valentine Cards

Here is a copy of the card I made for a swap at our upcoming demo meeting. The piece with the ribbon is a bookmark made from a Sizzix die. These cards were fun to make and I hope my fellow demo's enjoy them

Here is another of my Valentine cards. I am trying to add more layers to my cards and I am using the embellishments I have been savings. I'm not sure why I have ordered and then saved the embellishments, but it is now time to share them with others. Thanks for looking today.

Birthday cards for 2010

These are two of the Birthday cards I made for my friends with birthdays this month.  I like the pinwheel embellishment and it is fun to do. The options of paper and bling are endless.

This is a card for my "sister's" birthday. It uses a stamp from the Well Scripted set and brads from the Sending Love epoxy brads which are in the new Occasions Mini catalog.

I bought the clear mount stamp set and it is a joy to use because you can see where you are placing the stamp. The brads are actually real red but they blend well with the Melon Mambo paper and ink. I like the contrast with the Melon Mambo and the black card stock and I have been using it a lot lately.

Here are a few more of the cards I have been making. I thought some subtle colors would be nice and they were fun to make. I enjoy adding chrystal affects and glitter for added interest.

Cards for the New Year

It is time to start making cards to have on hand for all occasions. I am having a good time with Bermuda Bay and Chocolate Chip card stock. I included some Thoroughly Modern designer series paper and used the Of The Earth stamp set. Hope you enjoy.
