I am so glad that SU! has embossing folders. I think they can add so much to our cards and I use them often. I am also enjoying the seam binding. I pulled a couple of threads on this piece and gathered it to add some additional interest o the card. TFL.

Sweet Summer from SAB
This stamp from the Sweet Summer set in the Sale-a-Bration catalog is very versatile. I used it with these two cards and watercolor paper. I am making cards for the staff at my church. I like making the cards and can't use all of them and the staff likes having homemade cards to send. It is so fulfilling to be able to use my creativity and have others enjoy it. TFL.

FM #28 & PPA77
I am using this card for two challenges today: Friday Mashup #28 is all about birds and Pals Paper Art is a sketch. The colors I used are Early Espresso, Soft Suede, and Baja Breeze which is one of my all time favorites. I used Nature Walk and Punch Bunch from SAB stamps; and I added a touch of Baja Breeze binding. Hope you enjoy.

Stamp Club Cards
For the last 3 years I have been attending a monthly stamp club conducted by my upline Kim. Every month she comes up with wonderful projects for us to do. I often recreate the projects to give to others. Sometimes I case the items and sometimes I add to them. Last night we got together again for a night of fun and creativity. When I got home I modified the cards just a bit and I want to share them with you.
For this card I colored the ribbon rose.
I made a few more changes on this card. First I added pearls that I colored with ink. Next time I will color them before I put them on the card, but I didn't plan to color them when I first added them. The original card used Very Vanilla binding for the ribbon, I changed it to Crumb Cake binding, tied it in a soft double knot and set the rose in the knot. I use the double knot technique often because I like the softness it creates and it is a nice choice when a bow is too much and a single knot is not enough.
Thanks for the projects Kim. Thank you to the rest of you for stopping by.

Stamping with a Friend
On Monday I spent the day with a good friend making cards and catching up. She cooked me a wonderful Birthday dinner complete with home canned corn that was so very tasty.
So today I am sharing some of the cards I made. TFL.

Some Valentine Fun
I am having fun making Valentine cards and I really like the new Trinket Keys from the Occasions Mini. This card was quick to make and I think the person who receives it will enjoy the bling.
I used some of the new Springtime Village DSP on this one and I think it adds a Chabby Chic look to the card. Yes, there is a Trinket Key on tis one too. I hope SU! will carry these over to the new IBC. TFL.

Just for you butterfly
I have been having fun with glitter paper. SU! has a nice red glitter paper in the new mini catalog that I like. The paper in this card isn' from SU!, I found it before I got the new red arrived.

Demo Swap
These are the cards I made for my swap at the demo meeting yesterday. I didn't have enough buttons so I made some of the cards with brads. It was fun to give people a choice of cards and see what they choose.

Demo Make & Take Card
Today was the demo meeting for our American Ink group. It is always fun to get together with the demos in the area. We swap cards, learn new techniques, talk about the current SU! promotions, encourage each other, do make and takes, and eat good food. This is the card I did for our make and take today. I wanted something masculine for Valentines Day. Instead of a bow I did a double knot. It was fun to make and people enjoyed making it at the meeting. Hope you enjoy it.

I added two rhinestones last night at the request of Terry and Shirley. So the card posted on the blog is a bit different than this one. But it is close. Enjoy.

Occasions Mini Catalog
The new Occasions Mini Catalog is now available and it is wonderful. Once again SU! has done a wonderful job of bringing us new and exciting products to feed our need for creativity. Click on the picture of the catalog at the right and you can look at the new mini.
The new seam binding colors are pleasing and I use them in place of ribbon on my cards. They create a soft look and when paired with the new DSP you can get some nice Shabby Chic looks. There is new glitter, builder wheels, fun stamps, a fun embossing folder, new dies, and my most favorite - Trinket Keys. I could go on and on, but I encourage you to take a look for yourself. As always, I am available to answer your questions. Enjoy.
