Demo SWAPs

I want to share with you some of the cards from our latest demo meeting. We have some talented ladies in our group and it is always fun to share with them.
This card was done by Kim, my upline.

The bunny looks so yummy on this card.

The picture doesn't do this card justice. There is lots of sparkly and receiving this card on your birthday would make a person smile.

I will share more of the cards later in the week.

This card is for a pastor friend of ours who is going to be semi retiring on Sunday. Pastor Jess has been a friend for many years and we are wishing him the best.

Mother's Day

I have started making cards for Mother's Day and this is my first one. I found some letters I have had for who knows how long and decided to try one of them for this card. It turned out well. The picture doesn't do the card justice but it gives you an idea.

I used Bride DSP for the band on the left side. I used a brayer with Crushed Curry to color it and I think it looks stunning. Thanks for looking.

Pals Paper Arts

I was in Ireland for St. Patricks Day two years ago and the sentiment on this cards expresses the joy of being there.

Swap for demo meeting

This is one of the SWAPs I made for our Demo meeting today. The center looks a bit odd in this picture. What I did was stamp the Fine Flourish stamp on watercolor paper with Tempting Turquoise ink. I chalked the center with chalk pastels and then put a touch of Chrystal Affects in the center. Thanks for looking.

More Spring Cards

Now I am hooked on making cards for Spring. We had snow showers yesterday and this is my way to rebel. Enjoy.

Fine Flourish

This background stamp is so much fun to use. Today I wanted to share several cards I made with Fine Flourish.
Thanks for looking.

Spring Pals Paper Arts Challenge

I made a couple of cards for the Spring Challenge at Pals Paper Arts. This is the first one and it was fun to make. I don't know if you can tell from the photo, but I kissed the pearls with a bit of Mambo Melon.
This is my second card. I don't know if I really like how it turned out, but the paper roses were fun to make. Enjoy.

Stamp Buffet

Today I want to share some of the cards I made at a Stamp Buffet this weekend. What is a Stamp Buffet you ask.  It is a fun way to make a variety of cards. There are a group of cards to choose from, this time we had about 10 options, you choose the ones you want to make and only pay for those. It was great fun. The card above is so much fun...this chick has four changes of clothes. Each outfit velcros onto the chick. It is a good card to make adults smile and the children are thrilled with it. Thank you Shirley for this cute creation.

This card is as close as I will probably ever get to making a quilt.

The colors in this card are so striking together. This picture doesn't do them justice.
I like this soft color combination and the satin ribbon is so nice to work with. Thanks for taking a look.

Star Thank You

I wanted something that would work for a guy and I think this one does the trick.
More fun with ribbon and embossing folders. Enjoy.

Monday, March 1, 2010

Here are a couple of the cards I made this weekend. On the top card I made a little flower from the edge of paper I trimmed for the inside of the card. I folded that small piece of paper every 1/4 inch, then joined it together and placed it on a base of sticky tape. It is a fun, easy way to use little bits of paper.

I ran a large scallop of DSP through an embossing folder to use as a background for the card. I like the look and the texture it creates.

I also want to thank those of you who are checking out my blog. I didn't know if anyone would look at it when I started, but I did it anyway and I am encouraged to continue. TFL...Michelle
