Pistachio Pudding and Strawberry Slush

This color combo is so fresh and on trend right now, and I just like how it looks. We have had sunshine in the Northwest the past few days, so I was inspired to make a card that fit the weather. This is the outcome of that effort.

Although the bottle caps haven't been carried forward I stocked up on them and plan to keep using them because they are fun and add a nice touch to cards. So you will see them from time to time as the months go by.

I used a stamp from Mosaic Madness on the ribbon with Strawberry Slush and just a garnish of Crisp Cantaloupe with the You Make Me Smile from the A Round Array stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by.

In Colors

I am going to enjoy the new In Colors for months to come. They remind me of the house colors in the Caribbean and that brings a smile to my face.
These cards are a combination of something old, something new, and something not SU!
Hope they bring smiles to your face, too.

K is for Kindness

I made this card using the sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday. I like the soft pastels that are in this season and wanted to use them for this card. They remind me of nice Spring days.

Playing with retired SU paper

I have been playing with One Stroke painting and stamping for a bit now. I decided to use paper colors that SU! retired  a couple years ago because I didn't want to "waste" current paper if the projects didn't turn out like I expected.

People who know about all my paper stash are ROTFLOL right now. Actually, I was digging through my office and came upon the retired paper plus I was to lazy to go out to my craft room/trailer to get something current.

Here are the results. The first one uses a background die cut and the second one is hand painted and embellished with a stamp greeting. Enjoy.

Mom's Birthday Card

I've been reviving my painting recently and decided to combine it with my stamping. I made this one for my Mom's birthday.

SU's paper has responded well to the major acrylic paints on the market as well as paints designed specifically for paper.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Easter

I found the pattern for this card on line, but can't remember where...sorry.
But this is a fun card to make. I used it for my M&T at my demo stamp group last week.

2 X 4 card

I liked the look of the 2 X 4 card and petite pocket shown in the current Stampin' Success. This is my version of that card.

I used vellum paper for the envelope. This is a fun card to make and it makes folks chuckle when they receive it.

New: Photopolymer Stamps

We've searched long and hard for just the right material to be able to introduce completely clear stamping. And we've found it. We're excited to announce that we now have wood-mount, clear-mount AND photopolymer stamps! The new photopolymer will be an addition to our stamp line and will appeal to all types of stampers. Our top-quality photopolymer has just enough give to create a perfectly stamped image every time and with the introduction of our firm-foam pads, let's just say they're meant for each other! Photopolymer stamps will also be unique, fun designs that will inspire you and provide more versatile options you may not see in our traditional wood- and clear-mount stamp options.

What makes them so great?
  • They're entirely transparent for perfect placement every time!
  • They are durable. The photopolymer material is designed to last.
  • Can you say sticky? (Don't worry; in a good way.) These stamps stick amazingly well to our clear blocks.
  • They're age tested. They won't yellow or cloud up over time.
  • They use FDA, food-safe material. How far can you stretch your stamping creativity?
  • We could go on, but we'll let you try them for yourself.
They are clearly a great choice.

Valentine, Anniversary,Birthday ....take your pick

This is the Make & Take I made for our last demo meeting. I intentionally didn't put a sentiment on it so it could be used for different occasions. The paper is More Amore dsp from the Spring catalog and yes, I did cut out all those hearts for the 16 people at the meeting. I think it was worth it in the end. I also cut flowers from the Flower Trim to put in the center of the hexagon on the heart.

I am enjoying the new Spring catalog and all the possibilities it offers.

Feeling Sentimentally Good

This was a fun project to work on and I have a few tips to pass on to you.

I used Feel Goods stamp set (129684)  and Canvas Creations (129375) from the Spring catalog and Feeling Sentimental (129630) from SAB.

I used an oval framelit to cut out the ferris wheel and the sentiment. When doing this I tend to use a post-it note to hold the paper or canvas and the framelit in place for cutting. Works like a charm. What I learned the hard way is that you need to heat set the ink on the Canvas Creations before you do anything else, especially if you are using the new ink pads. I didn't and the ink came off on the post-it note and then transferred to the next image I cut. Also, when I heat set on the canvas the ink faded just a bit. Last tip, I secured the canvas to the card with a bit of the red sticky tape. Overall, I like the canvas creations material and the texture it adds to a project. I will continue to use it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Stamp Club Cards

Monday night one of the card clubs I belong to got together. We made three cards and I had planned to share them all with you, but I got a big streak of Cherry Cobbler ink on one of them so you only get to see two.

This first one came from Kim Becker. Glitter paper is one of my favorites in any color and this card fit the bill quite nicely, even though we had to pop out all the little bits.

Kathy Harmon cased this card from Stampin' Success and we all had fun making it. Glitter paper was a theme that evening!

I'm Back

Hello all. Sorry for the long absence. I have been away on a wonderful month long cruise to Hawaii and the South Pacific. I have had the most wonderful time.

Now that I am back to reality I will be back with cards to share with you beginning tomorrow.
